Arch Manning is on the radar for a lot of people given the legacy he is a part of due to his family’s history in the NFL.
However, there will be some concerns that the Manning name could be boosting his stock right now as he is yet to really set himself apart from the other quarterbacks.
Although the Texas Longhorns are 4-0 through the opening weeks of the 2026 season, Manning has only thrown seven touchdowns in those games.
With some concerns surrounding Manning’s output, Robert Griffin III has shared his advice for the 22-year-old quarterback.

Translating success from college football to the NFL has proven extremely hard for a lot of quarterbacks in recent years.
Cam Ward continues to struggle with the Tennessee Titans, whilst the likes of Anthony Richardson has completely fallen off the radar.
“I believe he should come back for another year. When guys are ready to go to the NFL, playing college football looks easy for them,” said Griffin.
“For myself, when I came out, when Andrew Luck came out, it looked easy for us when we were playing in our last year. It looked easy for C.J. Stroud when he was playing in his last year. It doesn’t look easy for Arch yet.”
You only have to look as far as the first overall pick from the 2026 draft, Fernando Mendoza, to see that being a high pick in the draft does not equal immediate success in the NFL.
The Las Vegas Raiders are thriving without Mendoza on the field, which could well be an indicator to someone like Manning that an extra year in college would actually be a positive for his development.
As things stand, Manning risks entering the NFL with a struggling team, whilst his own development is not where it needs to be to really kick on at that level.
