ATLANTA (KTRE) – Former Lufkin Panther Dez Bryant is one of 79 players and nine coaches on the ballot for the 2026 College Football Hall of Fame class.
The National Football Foundation released the ballot Monday for the class that will be announced in January.
Bryant played for the Oklahoma State Cowboys from 2007-2009. In 2008, Bryant was a consensus first team All-American, a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award, the Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Year and a first team All-Big 12 pick as a receiver and return specialist. Bryant finished his sophomore season with 1,480 yards, which ranked second in the nation. He was also second in receiving touchdowns with 19.
In 28 games with Oklahoma State, Bryant had 147 catches for 2,425 yards and 29 touchdowns, 22 punt returns for 431 yards and three touchdowns and nine 100-yard receiving games.
After Oklahoma State, Bryant was a first round pick by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2010 NFL draft. Bryant would set Dallas franchise records for career receiving touchdowns (73), most games with multiple touchdown catches (15), and consecutive games with a receiving touchdown (7). He was also a three-time Pro Bowl selection. Bryant played for Dallas from 2010-2017, New Orleans in 2018 and Baltimore in 2020.
