If you didn’t get the memo when he first reported it a week ago, NewOrleans.Football’s Nick Underhill broke the story that the Saints are expected to hold joint practices with the Los Angeles Chargers ahead of their Aug. 10 preseason game at SoFi Stadium. The two organizations have met often in recent years for these two-day scrimmages after training camp, and clearly the number of former Chargers coaches on staff in New Orleans isn’t going to make it a problem for another round this summer.

But this year’s preseason game is in Los Angeles, so there’s a good chance Saints fans won’t be allowed to attend the joint practices. The 2017, 2018, and 2019 joint practices were open to the public, but when the two teams met again in 2023, only Chargers season ticket holders were allowed inside. We’re guessing that will be the same approach in 2025, but stay tuned.

As for the preseason game itself? The Saints and Chargers are scheduled to kick off on Sunday, Aug. 10 at 3:05 p.m. CT from SoFi Stadium. The game will be broadcast locally in the New Orleans market on Fox 8 and Gray TV affiliates, with radio coverage on WWL 105.3FM/870AM. Mark your calendars early for our first look at Kellen Moore’s team.
