Tony Romo and CBS have agreed to part ways after he was put on indefinite leave by the network following his July arrest in Milwaukee on suspicion of operating while intoxicated.

The formers Cowboys quarterback turned top NFL analyst had four years remaining on a 10-year, $180 million deal — leaving $72 million on the table.

Financial terms of the split are not yet known.

Romo, 46, and CBS avoided going to court and reached a financial settlement on Friday, indicating that he could receive “much”a good portion” of the $72 million remaining on his contract, according to The Athletic.

Romo said he will be taking a break to focus on his health and his family.

“I’m proud of what I accomplished at CBS Sports over the last nine years,” he said in a statement to The Post. “I approached my role as a game analyst the way I’ve approached everything in my life – with a desire to win and be the best that I can be.

“I’m going to use this time to take a break, something I’ve never done before, and focus on my health and my family before moving on to my next opportunity. I am grateful for my time with CBS Sports and for the continued support of my family and friends, as well as the NFL community and fans.”

Ex-NFLer JJ Watt, already filling in for Romo in CBS’ top booth alongside Jim Nantz, will continue in the gig.

“We thank Tony for his contributions over the past nine years and wish him the best moving forward,” CBS said in a statement. “JJ Watt will continue to partner with Jim Nantz and Tracy Wolfson on our lead NFL announce team for the rest of the season. All other teams remain the same, including Ian Eagle, Ross Tucker and Evan Washburn.”

Romo was placed on leave by CBS after video of his field sobriety test was made public.

Romo was leaving from a round of golf when he was arrested for driving under the influence in Wisconsin on July 23.

He was issued four citations, including one for OWI, one for possessing open intoxicants in a moving vehicle, one for unsafe passing on the right and one for refusing to take test for intoxication after arrest.

It was later revealed that his blood-alcohol level was a BAC of .15.

Romo pleaded no contest through his lawyer to the OWI charge last month.

The other three citations were dismissed as part of the agreement with prosecutors.

Romo apologized for the incident in a social media post last month, and acknowledged that he had an “over-reliance on alcohol” due to several back procedures he underwent during his 13-year NFL career.

Following his arrest, Romo mostly spent time out of the public eye.

He competed in a professional golf tournament at The Club at Forest Ridge in Oklahoma on Wednesday.

Romo joined CBS after retiring in 2017 following a 13-year NFL career, all spent with the Cowboys, in which he was a four-time Pro Bowler.
