On the final drive, Watson connected with WR Jerry Jeudy twice for 27 yards. After being held to one reception for nine yards on the Browns’ first 11 offensive possessions, Jeudy delivered in one of the game’s biggest moments.

“Those moments like that, talking to Jerry (Jeudy), ‘Hey your opportunity is going to come, I’m going to need you,’ and he showed up tonight and made some big catches late in the fourth quarter and third quarter,” Watson said.

Following an incomplete pass intended for WR KC Concepcion Jr. on third-and-8, with 15 seconds remaining in the game, the Browns were on Pittsburgh’s 38-yard line to set up a 56-yard field goal attempt. Szmyt told Watson the offense did more than he had asked for.

As Szmyt lined up for the game-winning kick, DE Adin Huntington knew Szmyt had what it took. He didn’t have any doubt about the result.

“I knew he wasn’t going to miss that kick,” Huntington said. “Ain’t no way.”

“As soon as I hit it and I looked up, I knew it was good,” Szmyt said.
