GREEN BAY (WLUK) — It is the month of October already, hard to believe, but in Tampa Bay that doesn’t matter. It still means rain, warmer temperatures and then add the humidity, which will be close to 80 percent by game time.
The Packers have been indoors, a wild and wet game in New York and a cool fall day at Lambeau against the Falcons but next on the menu is that heat.
“It’s one of those things, you really can’t replicate being in Tampa at noon with full gear on because we’re in Green Bay, it’s not going to be as hot as it down there,” Bullard said. “You need to hydrate and prepare yourself mentally. As individuals and as athletes, we definitely need to put that on our mind because that is going to be a change and forecast for us so I think we need to put that on our radar.”
Matthew Golden said, who is from Houston, that it’s hotter there but the humidity is about the same as Tampa Bay and he stressed hydration and mentally preparing your mind and body to fight through it.
Christian Watson will have his homecoming being from Tampa Bay and playing high school football minutes away from Raymond James Stadium and hopefully turn up the heat. He said family and friends will be there wearing Green and Gold. He’s excited to put on a show and Fox 11 asked Watson if he had any touchdown celebration planned, he said he had a few days to look in the mirror and figure something out.
Kick-off is at for noon on Sunday on Fox 11.
