Packers lead Buccaneers 10-7 at halftime

The second quarter began with Love and Kraft failing to connect in the back of the end zone but then getting a first down at the Tampa 1 after a defensive pass interference penalty on Jacob Parrish.

Brooks and MarShawn Lloyd lost five yards on back-to-back carries. Lloyd gained four yards back on a quick pass and Green Bay went for it on fourth-and-2 after using its second timeout.

Love lobbed a 2-yard touchdown to Matthew Golden, converting the third fourth down of the series, to put the Packers up 7-0 with 12 minutes, 54 seconds left in the first half.

The 16-play, 68-yard drive lasted 9:16 and saw Green Bay convert three fourth downs.

Tampa started from its own 35 after the touchback. The Buccaneers went three-and-out after Otton dropped a second-down slant and Daniels was pressured into a 2-yard scramble on third-and-10.

The Packers started at their 24 but were backed up after an offensive pass interference call on Christian Watson. Love’s deep ball for J. Michael Sturdivant fell incomplete and the Packers punted.

Tampa Bay took over at its 46. After two Kenneth Gainwell carries gained five yards, Daniels found an open Ted Hurst for 21 yards to the Green Bay 28.

On third-and-1, Sean Tucker was stopped for no gain but then gained five yards on his fourth-down attempt. Daniels gained nine yards on a read-option and then Tucker ran in the 5-yard TD to tie the game at 7 with 5:13 left in the first half.

The Packers’ next possession started with a holding penalty on Laken Tomlinson, but they got 16 yards back on a pass to Watson on a stop route. On third-and-5, Golden dropped a slant that initially was a ruled a fumble and Green Bay punted.

Tampa started at its 16 after a fair catch and came out throwing. A 9-yard pass to Chris Godwin earned a first-down on second-and-8 and then Tez Johnson caught a 15-yard pass at the two-minute warning.

Hurst caught a 4-yard slant on fourth-and-1, but the drive ended when Edgerrin Cooper picked off Daniels and returned it to the Tampa Bay 44.

Lloyd gained three yards on first down before the Packers sent out Trey Smack for a 58-yard field goal.

Smack, who now owns two of the four longest field goals in team history, is just the third rookie kicker to make multiple 58-plus-yard field goals in the same season, joining Brandon Aubrey (three, 2023) and Greg Zuerlein (two, 2012)
