The Seahawks offense managed to have three different players find the endzone during Sunday’s 30-23 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. Emanuel Wilson had both a rushing and receiving touchdown, Tory Horton scored his first touchdown of the season and Rashid Shaheed found the endzone for his first offensive touchdown as a Seahawk.
After a quiet start through the first three games, Shaheed contributed to both the run and pass game, as well as his usual return duties. He finished Sunday with a total of 95 return yards, one catch for 20 yards, and two carries for 33 yards, including a 28-yard touchdown run.
Shaheed’s touchdown came on a drive that started with quarterback Sam Darnold being sacked for an eight-yard loss, but the Seahawks were able to rely on the run game, as well as a big 28-yard gain, where Darnold connected with Jaxon Smith-Njigba downfield, to put the Seahawks in Chargers territory.
Wilson had three carries for 15 yards on the drive that helped take Seattle down to the Chargers 34-yard line.
After three straight carries by Wilson, Shaheed lined up in the backfield and Seattle ran a toss sweep and thanks to blocking downfield, including a block by Smith-Njigba, Shaheed used his speed and shiftiness to make his way into the endzone.
