The Cincinnati Bengals wasted an opportunity to get to 3-1 at home against the Jacksonville Jaguars when they lost 22-17.

That, however, isn’t going to shake Joe Burrow’s confidence.

After the game, Burrow told reporters his team remains confident it can get things turned around.

“We are very confident. We are 2-2, but no one wins a championship after four games,” said Burrow.

It is certainly something to consider. They are at .500 with the Miami Dolphins next week prior to their bye week. That could be a good time to get your bearings straight.

What stinks about being 2-2 in this situation is that they could’ve easily been 4-0 if not for their own miscues. This team clearly has enough talent, but the fumble last week and the interception in the red zone this week did have big impacts on the losses.

We also have to talk about the coaching staff being too conservative and playing not to lose when their offense is rolling. They need to understand that even though the defense has improved from being the worst defense ever, they aren’t going to win them games more than Burrow and the offense.

Fans probably aren’t worried about Burrow getting things turned around, but this coaching staff needs a real wake-up call.
