TOUCHDOWNS

Tight end Greg Dulcich took a pass from Jameis Winston in stride and turned up the sideline for what likely would have been a catch-and-run touchdown. The Giants claimed Dulcich last November off waivers from the Broncos, who originally drafted the UCLA product in the third round of the 2022 draft.

Tommy DeVito showed good timing and accuracy on a handful of throws, leading to some long catch-and-runs. That included one to undrafted rookie wide receiver Jordan Bly, who won a foot race to the end zone.

TAKEAWAYS

A day after Tyler Nubin and Dane Belton had interceptions, Jevón Holland notched another for the safeties to begin an 11-on-11 team period. The former Dolphin spoke last week about establishing himself with his new team.

“I have to earn the respect of my teammates,” the fifth-year vet said. “I’m new so they don’t owe me anything, but yeah, I have to earn the respect and then from there, then the chips fall where they may, but I’m just here to make sure that they respect me, they respect my game, and they can rely on me.”

Holland added: “[This defense] is really reminiscent of defenses I’ve run before, that I was really comfortable in, just surface level and then just our personnel. We’ve got a stout front, pass rushers, heavy hitting, linebackers, lockdown DBs, so love that. Collective mindset for sure.”

OTHER NOTABLE PLAYS

Running back Devin Singletary hauled in a nice pass from Jameis Winston up the sideline to start 7-on-7 drills.

Russell Wilson threw a perfect pass to wide receiver Darius Slayton in between defenders.

Cornerback Cor’Dale Flott broke up a pass, as did Belton on a deep shot late in practice.

Outside linebackers Brian Burns and Kayvon Thibodeaux recorded would-be sacks.
