The Baltimore Ravens are signing former Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Nick Vannett to their 53-man roster, according to NFL insider Aaron Wilson of Houston’s KPRC2.

Vannett, 33, joined the Ravens practice squad last month after he was released by the Seattle Seahawks as part of their final roster cuts.

He joined the Steelers via a trade midway through the 2019 season. The team sent a fifth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft to Seattle in exchange for Vannett.

However, Vannett did not have much of an impact in Pittsburgh, recording just 13 catches for 128 yards and zero touchdowns in 13 games.

Vannett began his NFL career as a third-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft out of Ohio State, where he had 91 catches for 877 yards and six touchdowns over five seasons.

He spent the first three years of his career with the Seahawks before being dealt to the Steelers. During that span, he racked up 48 catches for 463 yards and four touchdowns.

Following his one-year stint in Pittsburgh, Vannett joined the Denver Broncos for the 2020 season. He continued to disappoint in Denver, though, recording just 14 catches for 95 yards and one touchdown in 15 games.

Vannett then signed with the New Orleans Saints in 2021 and for half of the 2022 season until he was released on Nov. 19. He joined the New York Giants shortly after and finished the season with the G-Men.

He then spent the 2023 season with the Houston Texans and Los Angeles Chargers, but he caught just one pass for three yards in eight games (five starts) with the Chargers.

Vannett bounced back in 2024 with the Tennessee Titans, catching 17 passes for 135 yards and three touchdowns, tying his career-best mark.

He then signed with the Vikings ahead of the 2025 season but failed to record a statistic and was eventually signed off Minnesota’s pratice squad by the Los Angeles Rams, where he finished the season.

A native of Westerville, Ohio, Vannett has recorded 108 receptions for 1,012 yards and nine touchdowns in his professional career.
