The New York Jets signed former William & Mary All-American Nate Lynn to their active roster Wednesday.

The 6-3, 256-pound defensive end from Charlotte, North Carolina, originally joined the Jets on Aug. 18 and posted three sacks and seven tackles in two preseason games. He then signed with the team’s practice squad on Aug. 31.

Lynn began his NFL career with the Detroit Lions in 2024, but spent the season on injured reserve. He was on the Tennessee Titans’ practice squad for the 2025 season.

Lynn is one of five former W&M stars currently with NFL teams. The others are offensive tackle Charles Grant (Las Vegas), guard Bill Murray (Los Angeles Rams), long snapper Luke Rhodes (Indianapolis) and offensive tackle Colby Sorsdal (Atlanta’s practice squad).
