San Diego State plays its first Pac-12 Conference road game Saturday afternoon against Oregon State at Reser Stadium.

The Aztecs (2-3, 1-0 Pac-12) are coming off a 31-29 comeback victory over Texas State, while the Beavers (3-2, 1-0) have won three straight, including last weekend’s 56-26 rout of Colorado State.

Here’s a look at five potential NFL prospects to watch:

Joe Borjon, OT, San Diego State, Sr.

At 6-foot-9 and 340 pounds, Borjon possesses rare NFL dimensions. The former baseball player began at Mt. San Antonio College before stops at Arizona and SDSU. A Senior Bowl Top 300 selection, he started 13 games at right tackle last season before shifting to the blind side. His length and powerful hands offer developmental upside, potentially as a late-round pick. However, his towering frame creates leverage problems, and discipline has deteriorated. According to Pro Football Focus, Borjon has committed seven penalties through five games after totaling just five over his previous three seasons. Scouts will scrutinize his footwork, balance and ability to handle speed rushers.

Gavriel Lightfoot, DT, San Diego State, Sr.

Lightfoot, 6-2 and 295 pounds, became Fresno State’s first true freshman interior defensive line starter since 1997, eventually producing 66 tackles across 27 starts. A meniscus injury wiped out his 2025 season at Colorado before he transferred to SDSU. He’s responded with 28 tackles through five games, including 12 against Texas State. His natural leverage and functional strength suggest early-down NFL potential, but limited pass-rush production — one career sack entering this season — and medical evaluations will influence his draft stock. Scouts need to see more consistent pocket penetration.

Jesse Legree, WR, Oregon State, Fr.

The 5-10, 172-pound three-star recruit from Baltimore’s St. Frances Academy has emerged as a national sensation. Legree ranks second nationally with 741 receiving yards on 28 catches, averaging 26.5 yards per reception, and shares the FBS lead with Ohio State’s Jeremiah Smith at nine touchdown catches apiece. He’s earned five consecutive Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honors and matched the school record for five straight 100-yard receiving games. His acceleration, ball tracking and vertical separation scream NFL potential, although he isn’t draft-eligible until 2029. Scouts will eventually evaluate his route development, play strength and ability to defeat press coverage.

Aiden Sullivan, LB, Oregon State, Sr.

The 6-1, 230-pound former Butte College standout recorded 72 tackles, seven tackles for loss and three forced fumbles last season. He leads Oregon State with 38 tackles through five games. His instincts, physicality and downhill trigger translate to an NFL early-down linebacker role, with special teams offering another path. Coverage range remains a question. His evaluation also carries off-field uncertainty: Sullivan pleaded not guilty in August to felony and misdemeanor assault charges stemming from an April incident.

Takari Hickle, Edge, Oregon State, Sr.

Hickle has developed from a roughly 240-pound high school prospect into a 6-3, 270-pound defensive force. After recording two sacks last season, he’s produced 27 tackles, 7½ tackles for loss and 3½ sacks through five games, leading the Pac-12 in the latter two categories. His heavy hands, leverage and power suggest a base defensive end who can rush inside on passing downs. Scouts will test his ability to bend the corner and develop counters against NFL-caliber tackles.
