-Titans safety Tony Adams hasn’t had a bunch of opportunities to play this season.

Adams logged 10 snaps on defense last week, in addition to 13 more snaps on special teams.

On Sunday against the Texans, Adams is in line to start for the Titans.

Titans coach Robert Saleh on Friday ruled OUT safety Amani Hooker for Sunday’s game, as he did not clear concussion protocol.

“Nothing changes, I prepare the same way,” Adams said on Friday. “I am grateful, I get the opportunity to play ball, and I am grateful for it. I wish Hook a speedy recover, and I am excited to play ball.”

Adams, in his first season with the Titans after playing the past four seasons with the Jets, has two tackles and a quarterback pressure on the season. He’s also been credited with a quarterback pressure.

Adams said the chance to get into more of a groove on Sunday should help him feel more comfortable against the Texans. Adams played in 53 games in four seasons with the Jets, with 36 starts.

“It’s always a challenge each week,” Adams said of facing the Texans. “In the pass game, not allowing explosives, limiting the explosives (is key) and in the run game, stopping the run and making them one-dimensional (is important).”
