For the first time this year, our weekly Madden simulations have led us astray.

Last week, the virtual Detroit Lions absolutely crushed the Carolina Panthers, 42-14. Sunday night bore out a much different experience, with the Panthers controlling most of the game and walking away as six-point winners.

It was the first time our Madden simulations have been inaccurate so far this year. Here are the results from the first four weeks compared to the actual Lions game scores.

Madden will try to get back on the right side of history this week as the Detroit Lions travel west to take on the Arizona Cardinals.

If you haven’t yet watched one of our Madden 27 simulations, here’s how they work. I’ll load up a game of Madden 27, adjust the lineup based on the latest injury reports, pick some ugly jerseys for the opponent, then just watch the game. Throughout the entire broadcast—usually about 1.5 hours in length—we’ll talk Lions, I’ll answer some questions from the live chatters, and I’ll also do my best Dan Miller impression on the play-by-play. It’s a good, fun time.

So if you want to join, here’s all the info you need to know.
