PITTSBURGH, Pa. (WRTV) — There will be no reunion game for Michael Pittman Jr. and the Colts this Sunday. The former Indianapolis wide receiver, now with the Steelers, was set to face his old team for the first time, but a left foot injury has since put him on injured reserve.

Pittsburgh acquired Pittman and a seventh-round pick from Indianapolis in March in exchange for a sixth-round pick. A day before the matchup, the Steelers placed Pittman on injured reserve after he aggravated the injury in practice. He’ll miss at least four weeks.

Pittman is dealing with plantar fasciitis in his left foot. The injury first kept him out of Pittsburgh’s Week 2 game against the Patriots, and it flared up again during practice this week. Head coach Mike McCarthy said he expects the receiver to miss several weeks.

Indianapolis drafted Pittman in the second round in 2020. He went on to record 5,254 receiving yards and 25 touchdowns in 95 games with the Colts. Pittman Jr. was able to produce two 1,000-yard seasons with the Colts in 2021 and 2023.

Pittman Jr. is currently on a three-year, $59 million deal with the Steelers.
