Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones isn’t worried about the incident between Dak Prescott and the third-party employee who taunted Prescott as he made his way back to the locker room after the Cowboys’ loss to the Buccaneers on Thursday.
Jones made his indifference clear during his Tuesday appearance on 105.3 The Fan (KRLD-FM).
“I didn’t pay a lot of attention to it,” Jones said. “It doesn’t impact me at all.”
The person, who Cowboys PR clarified is not a stadium or team employee but someone from a third-party company, called out and said “embarrassing” to Prescott. Prescott heard him and requested that a Cowboys staffer remove the man in question.
During his postgame availability, Prescott said that the man was not wrong, and head coach Brian Schottenheimer said the man was allowed to speak his mind. Jones responded similarly to Schottenheimer when asked about the viral moment.
“The driver in question was not an employee, but fans can express themselves and should should express themselves,” Jones said. I love it for them to. Whether it was our employee or not? He was a fan, it sounds like. So I’m for our fans expressing himself.”
