LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Oregon quarterback Dante Moore will not play when the Ducks host Nebraska on Saturday. Moore is listed as out on Oregon’s injury report for the second straight week. The senior quarterback sustained a head injury on Sept. 26 while attempting to slide on a running play. Southern California linebacker Desman Stephens II hit Moore in the helmet, resulting in a concussion.
Moore entered the season as a Heisman Trophy candidate after a breakout junior season. In four games, he completed 69.7% of his passes for 926 yards and nine touchdowns.
With Moore out, Oregon will play either Dylan Raiola, Brock Thomas or Akili Smith Jr. at quarterback against the Huskers. Raiola, who began his college career at Nebraska, started in last week’s 17-15 loss to UCLA. He was benched after completing just 6 of 19 passes with two interceptions.
