There’s no question the Raiders will be facing some elite talent on Sunday when the Bills come to Las Vegas. But the Raiders have some stars of their own which the Bills know they will have to account for as well.
On offense for the Raiders, it’s Brock Bowers. This week, Bills head coach Joe Brady was asked about the former All Pro tight end.
“There’s not many people in the world that can do what he does,” Brady said of Bowers. “The body of a tight end and he plays all over as a wide receiver. I remember last year watching the Broncos and [Patrick] Surtain was matched up on him, right? That’s the level of the greatness that he can be when he’s out there, and how dynamic he is. He can wreck a game on the offensive side of the ball. Tremendous skill set and we gotta be aware of where he’s at at all times.”
Bowers is currently second among tight ends in the NFL in receiving yards, despite missing the first two games of the season. And he has a touchdown in all three games he’s played.
On the defensive side, the Raiders field Maxx Crosby, who Bills QB Josh Allen will have to be wary of on every snap.
“What makes him so good is his motor,” said Allen. “He’s extremely relentless. He’s never out of the play. He’s on the field dang near every snap too. He’s an ultimate competitor and a guy that you have to understand where he’s at at all times.”
Crosby is among the league-leaders in pressures this season and with Allen, he will have to worry about not just pressuring him, but containing him to keep him from picking up yards with his legs.
