SAINTS at GIANTS

1 p.m., Saints by 1 ½, 45 ½

HANK’S HONEYS: This is very similar to when the Giants played the Cardinals as an underdog. John Harbaugh’s team still lacks respect and should be favored here. True, the Giants have been leading a bit of a charmed life, but here’s another game against a sub-.500 team. The Saints have O-line issues and the Giants pass rush should play a big role in the game. The Giants’ bubble will eventually burst (maybe next week in Houston) but we’ll ride them one more week.

IF I WERE A BETTING MAN: Giants and the under.

JETS at PATRIOTS

1 p.m., Pats by 7 ½, 44 ½

HANK’S HONEYS: As dominant as the Patriots have been the last two weeks, the Jets’ defense, which has been yielding just 19.2 ppg, is just too good to be grabbing this many points. They should be able to get to Drake Maye enough times to perhaps force a few of those early-season careless throws. Conversely, Geno Smith has yet to throw an interception. The Patriots’ D is just 24th in completion percentage so Smith should be able to keep converting on third down and keep this one close.

IF I WERE A BETTING MAN: Jets and the under.

TITANS at COLTS

1 p.m., Colts by 6 ½, 44 ½

HANK’S HONEYS: With the number under a TD, we have to fade the winless (for the season?) Titans, even in a divisional game. This is one bad offense, seemingly incapable of taking advantage of a defense as porous as Indy’s. The Tennessee defense is stout but it’s being worn down week after week because Cam Ward and Co. can’t stay on the field. Facing Jonathan Taylor is a physical chore for any defense and you know that given Daniel Jones’ INT issues, the Colts are going to let their RB eat. That’s also a great reason to hit the under, which may qualify as the best bet of the week.

IF I WERE A BETTING MAN: Colts and the under.

PANTHERS at EAGLES

1 p.m., Panthers by 3 ½, 39 ½

HANK’S HONEYS: That was a brutal loss for the Eagles in London and you’d figure the Panthers, coming off a bye, would have would enjoy an enormous travel/rest advantage. Then came the bad news: no Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley or DeVonta Smith, all leading to a five-point line swing. So why are we still on the Philly side? It just seems too easy. The Eagles still retain some championship pedigree and it’s really their last stand. A loss could send the season spiraling out of control. Nick Sirianni, whose job is on the line, will devise a conservative game plan and try to win this one with defense.

IF I WERE A BETTING MAN: Eagles and the under.

RAVENS at BROWNS

1 p.m., Ravens by 3 ½, 41

HANK’S HONEYS: These games are always competitive, especially in Cleveland. The Browns defense is top-tier, allowing no more than 24 points in any game after its stinker of an opener in Jacksonville, and it’s always been better on its home turf. Lamar Jackson’s status is up in the air and if it’s a no-go, we’re not banking on Tyler Huntley. Deshaun Watson has defied those who has him as the NFL’s worst starting QB. When in doubt, take the hook with a divisional home dog.

IF I WERE A BETTING MAN: Browns and the under.

CARDINALS at RAMS

4:05 p.m., Rams by 12 ½, 52

HANK’S HONEYS: It’s a setup. The Cardinals were pathetic against the Lions and seem to be regressing each week. And that’s probably what the Rams are thinking. They’re on a short week, having lost in brutal fashion on a missed chip shot FG in OT. Their defense has holes and the Cardinals are a capable offense. Double digit divisional underdogs are 12-8 ATS the past five seasons.

IF I WERE A BETTING MAN: Cardinals and the under.

CHARGERS at CHIEFS

4:25 p.m., Chiefs by 8 ½, 43 ½

HANK’S HONEYS: While you’re always hesitant to lay this many points in a divisional game, the well-rested Chiefs should be able to name the score against this broken Chargers outfit. There is no hope Justin Herbert and Mike McDaniel will ever get on the same page with the QB constantly running for his life. With Ladd McConkey sidelined, we can’t see any personnel matchup favoring the Bolts. K.C. is feeling it, with something to prove after missing the playoffs. Barring boredom, that should keep the back door locked.

IF I WERE A BETTING MAN: Chiefs and the under.

BILLS at RAIDERS

4:25 p.m., Bills by 4 ½, 53 ½

HANK’S HONEYS: It’s possible that the Raiders’ season turned in Foxboro and that the slide has begun. The short week doesn’t help, especially after the Bills D was on the field for 78 plays in L.A., but the Bills stayed out west and will have plenty of Mafia members in the stands. The Raiders have surrendered an average of 34 ppg over the past three weeks and must now face Josh Allen and a Buffalo offense averaging 32.8 ppg.

IF I WERE A BETTING MAN: Bills and the over.

COWBOYS at PACKERS

8:20 p.m., Packers by 1 ½, 53

HANK’S HONEYS: Green Bay awoke from its slumber by hammering the rival Bears last week and should relish a second straight game at Lambeau, under the lights against an easy-to-get-up for opponent. Dallas has to outscore teams to win and that’s not going to be easy to do here. The Cowboys’ ineffective pass rush should give Jordan Love plenty of time to pick on a disorganized secondary. It will be a shootout but the Packers defense will make a few more stops for the W.

IF I WERE A BETTING MAN: Packers and the over.

COMMANDERS at 49ERS

Monday, 8:15 p.m., Niners by 7 ½, 51 ½

HANK’S HONEYS: We’re more confident in the under than we are laying the points but with the Commanders in such disarray with a lame duck coach and caught in the middle of a ridiculous travel schedule, it’s a lean to the so-far best team in the NFL. Washington is going to have to commit to stopping Christian McCaffrey, opening up the field for Brock Purdy. Jayden Daniels hasn’t been great against zone coverage schemes and no team plays zone better than the Niners. He’ll be chasing points, too.

IF I WERE A BETTING MAN: 49ers and the under.

LOOK BUT DON’T TOUCH
TEXANS vs JAGUARS in LONDON

9:30 a.m., Jags by 2 ½, 42 ½

HANK’S HONEYS: This could be the season for the Texans, with a loss putting them four games behind the Jags in the AFC South. But will desperation trump the travel advantage for the Jaguars, who remained in London after their last-second win over the Eagles while the Texans are traveling for the third time in four weeks? Note that the Jags have done the layover twice before and covered the second week twice by at least 10 points. C.J. Stroud has been playing well and now has another target in Marvin Harrison Jr. The under has hit in six of the last eight meetings.

CAN’T HELP YOURSELF?: Texans and the under.
