When it comes to the 2026 NFL season, two of the teams that are defying expectations are the Cleveland Browns and the Los Angeles Rams. Others, like the Los Angeles Chargers, might be a lost cause, but many will be watching to see if the Browns and Rams will stay on their current course or start to meet preseason expectations.
Obviously, the two teams are linked via the Myles Garrett trade, with Cleveland set to receive Los Angeles’ first-round pick in the 2027 NFL draft, among other future selections. Garrett is likely to return from injured reserve in the near future, but will it be enough to turn the Rams’ season around? Browns fans are hoping for a continued struggle, as Los Angeles’ pick is closer to the Top 5 than they are to a playoff spot.
As of now, the Rams are tied for the sixth-worst record in the NFL. Due to tiebreakers, Cleveland would receive the 11th overall selection from LA if the season ended today. In the meantime, the Browns’ own first-round selection would be slotted near the bottom of the opening stanza.
If the Washington Commanders win on Monday Night Football, the Rams pick would move up a spot.

Where do you think the Browns end up selecting with their two first-round picks? Do you think the Rams continue to struggle and the Browns keep up their winning ways? Both switch course? Either?
