Jacksonville Jaguars’ third-round pick Wyatt Milum hasn’t garnered a ton of attention during OTAs up to this point, but for an offensive lineman, that’s often a good thing.
“I think they’ve both done a nice job,” Liam Coen said of rookies Milum and Jonah Monheim. “Sometimes, when you don’t notice OL as much, it’s typically because they’re doing a good job.”

Milum comes to the NFL with ample college experience, having played almost 3,000 total snaps. Almost all of his playing time at West Virginia came at the tackle spot and mostly on the left side.
In both the run and passing games, Milum was dominant at left tackle. He didn’t allow any sacks and only 15 pressures over the last two seasons. In 2024 specifically, Milum ranked sixth among all tackles in pass-blocking efficiency, and he was third in PFF’s run-blocking grade.
With the Jaguars, Milum will make the move inside to play guard.
“Specifically with Wyatt, I think you see some of the length, the size show up especially inside at guard, playing a position a little bit foreign to him based on last year’s production,” Coen added. “Typically, when you don’t notice those guys up front, it’s a good thing.”

Milum was one of six additions made to the offensive line unit either in free agency or in the NFL draft. The Jaguars may have an idea of how the starting five will shake out come Week 1, but with new faces and a lot more versatility, Jacksonville will lean into the competition element as they search for their best combination.
“It’s rep-to-rep, honestly,” Coen said of the roster last week via the team site. “It’s rack-to-rack is really kind of what we talk about. Getting guys in with the ones in the first rack and then slide them in with the twos with the next rack, and try to give guys opportunities, knowing they’re not truly getting judged and graded on the competition right now.
“We always want to compete in everything that we’re doing, but ultimately, it’s about trying to create that continuity at times within the system, within the offense and defense, and the calls.”
