LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The Las Vegas Raiders are looking to snap a three-game losing streak as they prepare to host the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, with offensive consistency remaining a major focus for head coach Klint Kubiak.
Through six games, quarterback Kirk Cousins is tied for the NFL lead with 14 touchdown passes. But despite the success through the air, the Raiders have struggled to establish a consistent running game.
Finding that balance will be especially important against a Rams defense that has been among the league’s toughest this season, despite dealing with injuries along its defensive front.
The Raiders have continued to search for answers on the ground, with rookie running back Ashton Jeanty and the offensive line working to establish a more consistent rhythm.
But the challenges extend beyond the running game.
Las Vegas has struggled coming out of halftime, being outscored 24-3 in the third quarter during its three-game losing streak.
Kubiak acknowledged this week that there is a mental component to those struggles, emphasizing the need to address how the team responds and executes coming out of the break.
The Raiders have shown flashes of offensive potential, but sustaining that production throughout all four quarters remains a priority.
Sunday presents another significant challenge against a Rams team also looking to snap a three-game losing streak.
For Las Vegas, the focus will be on establishing offensive balance, improving its second-half execution and finding a way to turn promising stretches into a complete performance.
The Raiders host the Rams on Sunday at Allegiant Stadium.
