Michael Penix Jr. answering the call for Falcons at QB1

When it comes to determining whether Michael Penix Jr. could eventually be deemed the franchise quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons, former Falcons wide receiver, Roddy White, has a good understanding in regards to what qualities the third-year quarterback possesses which could help make that decision, having been on the receiving end of Matt Ryan passes for eight seasons.

“I’m a Mike Penix [Jr.] fan. I love his game, I love what he’s capable of doing inside the pocket and you’re seeing the throws he can make all over the field and I just think the more time he’s out there, the better off he’ll be and the better he’ll be as the franchise quarterback,” White said as he joined 92-9 The Game’s Carl Dukes and Mike Bell.

“I think he’s got the capabilities to leading our squad into the future and has an opportunity to get a couple of division titles and get back on a playoff run to where we can have years and years of consistency at the quarterback position,” White said.
