BALTIMORE (WBFF) — The Baltimore Ravens hosted their annual signature project and volunteer day on Wednesday, June 4.
The event, fully funded by the Ravens Foundation, Inc., took place at Green Street Academy, a public charter school serving grades 6 through 12, located a few miles from M&T Bank Stadium.
The initiative underscores the Ravens’ ongoing commitment to the West Baltimore community. Green Street Academy is situated next to the Baltimore Ravens Boys & Girls Club at Hilton Recreation Center, which is nearing completion and expected to open this fall.
The new facility will provide regular after-school programming for Green Street Academy students and serve as the home venue for the school’s sports teams.
The volunteer day featured a variety of enhancement projects, including outdoor beautification, classroom transformations, mural painting, new furniture assembly, library support, and bicycle building.
Ravens players actively participated in the efforts throughout the day.
The event commenced with a kickoff ceremony at 9:30 a.m., led by Ravens president Sashi Brown, alongside Green Street Academy faculty, Heart of America staff members, and representatives from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Baltimore.
