The Green Bay Packers have announced 15 new coaches as part of the NFL’s Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship.The fellowship aims to increase minority representation in NFL coaching positions.Former Packers players Morgan Burnett and Nick Collins are among the new coaching fellows.
GREEN BAY −The Green Bay Packers announce 15 new coaches − including a few with Packers connections − as part of the NFL’s Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship, per Packers coach Matt LaFleur.
The Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship is designed to increase the number of full-time minority coaches in the NFL, giving them an opportunity to attend offseason workout programs and minicamps to observe, participate and learn with the goal to gain a full-time NFL coaching position.

The defense added former Packers safeties Morgan Burnett (currently coaching at Walton High School in Georgia) and Nick Collins (Bethune-Cookman), as well as former NFL defensive lineman Jason Hatcher (Dallas and Washington), Asa Jackson (Cal Poly), Josh Jones (San Antonio Brahmas of the UFL), Larry Knight (Arkansas State) and Shea Pitts (UCLA). Pitts’ father, Ron, and grandfather, Elijah, both played for the Packers.
The offensive staff is Ryan Alexander (LSU), Jeff Beckles, Mike Brown (Notre Dame), Caleb Moore (Arizona) and Grant Newsome (Michigan).
The strength and conditioning staff is Ike Brown (LSU), Leo Liu (Washington University in St. Louis) and Gary Wilkins.
Green Bay has hired four previous Bill Walsh interns to full-time coaching positions over the past two seasons: Anthony Perkins, Myles White, Cory Harkey, Jeremiah Kolone.
