Maxx Crosby has said he wants to stay in Las Vegas. He’s said it loudly and more than once. Still, the Las Vegas Raiders can’t shake the noise. The NFL trade deadline lands Tuesday, November 10, and the Dallas Cowboys have called about the star pass rusher before. A deal the Chicago Bears made for Jeffrey Simmons has only turned up the volume. Crosby is 29, he’s productive, and he plays for a 4-4 team that doesn’t look built for January. Plenty of front offices are paying attention.
How The Jeffrey Simmons Trade Changed The Maxx Crosby Market For The Las Vegas Raiders
The Bears paid two first-round picks for Simmons, who’s also 29. Insider Tom Pelissero asked the obvious follow-up: if Simmons can fetch that, why can’t Crosby? The numbers favor Crosby. He has 461 tackles and 72.5 sacks in his career, while Simmons has 420 tackles and 47.5 sacks.
Las Vegas also has to be honest about its record. Its four wins came against the Miami Dolphins, Los Angeles Chargers, New Orleans Saints and New York Jets, who’ve won two games or fewer each.
The Raiders have been here before. The Baltimore Ravens agreed to send two first-rounders last offseason, then walked away when Crosby failed his physical. This time, he’s the one pushing back. ESPN’s Adam Schefter put it plainly.
“Maxx absolutely does not want to leave Las Vegas under any circumstances,” Schefter said. “His hope, though not in his full control, is that he remains a Raider for life.”

Crosby backed that up on Wednesday. “I love being a Raider,” he said. “I’ve said that about a million times; this is where I want to be.”
Why Dallas Cowboys Keep Circling Maxx Crosby After Micah Parsons Trade To Green Bay Packers
Dallas hasn’t had a real edge rusher since it shipped Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers. At 3-5, the Cowboys have holes on defense and a good reason to make noise. They made three offers for Crosby in the past, but none went beyond one first-round pick. Baltimore blew past that number.
Crosby hasn’t slowed down. This season he has 22 tackles, three sacks, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and a pass defended, all for a team that’s barely above .500.
Former Raiders guard Richie Incognito knows how awkward this is. He told the Initial Contact podcast that the Raiders have to weigh a deal, even if it hurts.
“But you can’t get rid of Max, right? They tried it in the off-season. It was the universe that brought him back to this team. Listen, after this game in San Francisco, there’s still some room on the trade deadline. They’re going to have to ask themselves a lot of hard questions. Trading Max, I absolutely hate the idea, but he is our most valuable piece.”
Incognito also thinks Crosby’s price hasn’t moved since the offseason. So far, no team has matched what Baltimore offered.
