The Jacksonville Jaguars have added a former Arizona Cardinals fan favorite. According to Jordan Schultz, they are signing edge rusher and special teams ace Dennis Gardeck. The move was made official Wednesday as it appeared on the league’s transaction report.
Gardeck spent seven seasons with the Cardinals after making the team as an undrafted rookie out of Sioux Falls.

The signing does mean some good news. He tore his ACL last season after playing seven games and logging three sacks. He must be ready to go.
He was a core special teams player, a team captain. He was a Pro Bowl alternate in 2022. He has 17 career sacks, including seven in 2020 and a team-leading six in 2023.
Gardeck will be 31 in August. He will get to have a homecoming if he makes the Jaguars’ roster, as Jacksonvill will face the Cardinals at State Farm Stadium in Week 12.
