PITTSBURGH (WJAC) — According to multiple NFL Insiders, veteran NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers is expected to sign a one-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers, prior to the start of next week’s minicamp.

The 41-year-old is a four-time league MVP and helped defeat the Steelers, as a member of the Green Bay Packers, in Super Bowl XLV.

Rodgers spent 18 years in Green Bay before being traded to the New York Jets in 2023.

However, his first year in a Jets uniform was short lived after rupturing his Achilles in the team’s season opening game against the Buffalo Bills.

Rodgers’ decision to sign with Pittsburgh has been speculated on for months, with many fans divided about the prospect of the aging QB in a Steelers’ uniform.

Pittsburgh’s 2025 minicamp begins on Tuesday, June 10th.

The value of Rodgers’ expected contract has not yet been announced.
