Aaron Rodgers has emerged from NFL free-agent darkness — although he may have just been waiting for organized team activities to end.
After being released by the New York Jets in March, Rodgers will sign a one-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Steelers‘ last day of OTAs was June 5. Rodgers was in Egypt during the Jets’ OTAs last year.

A quick peek of Pittsburgh’s 2025 schedule suggests that Rodgers might be playing with a rather significant chip on his throwing shoulder. It appears slight grudge matches are possible as early as Week 1.
He’ll face the Packers Oct. 26 on “Sunday Night Football.”
Rodgers, 41, won his only Super Bowl appearance, against the Steelers in 2011. He likely doesn’t have that type of roster this season, but looks to be a difference on a team that has lost five straight playoff games and hasn’t advanced past the first round since 2016.
