Former Carolina Panthers defensive end Greg Hardy has found himself back in legal trouble.

As reported by TMZ, Hardy was arrested in Texas on Wednesday afternoon for an alleged assault against a family member. Per jail records, the 36-year-old was booked on a charge of “assault causing bodily injury.”

Hardy previously faced domestic violence charges in 2014, ahead of what would be his final season in Carolina. Those charges would be dismissed by prosecutors in 2015 after Hardy’s accuser, then-girlfriend Nicole Holder, did not appear.

He was also arrested on a cocaine possession charge out of Dallas, Texas a year later in 2016.

The Panthers selected Hardy in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL draft. The Millington, Tenn. native played with the team through 2014, including a Pro Bowl campaign in 2013, and finished up his NFL run with the Dallas Cowboys in 2015.

After his football career, Hardy went on to participate in a number of professional combat leagues—including Ultimate Fighting Championship and Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.
