The Kansas City Chiefs‘ former offensive weapon has decided to call it a career this weekend, with intentions to begin a new life outside of football.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Veteran wide receiver Chris Conley, who most recently played for the San Francisco 49ers, has decided to retire after a ten-season career. The message was sent from his agent, Jonathan Perzley of Sport Stars NYC. Conley plans to return to film school at the University of Georgia to pursue his dream of being a filmmaker.
After being selected by the Chiefs in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft, Conley spent four seasons in Kansas City. During his first stint from 2015 to 2018, he battled injuries and was in and out of the starting lineup. He notably played during the transition from Alex Smith to Patrick Mahomes at quarterback, missing out by a season on becoming a Super Bowl champion.
