Here are the latest updates from the Indianapolis Colts’ most recent OTA practice.
The Indianapolis Colts were back on the practice field Thursday for their final OTA practice–and second that was open to the media–before the team’s three-day minicamp takes place next week.
Speaking with reporters before practice, Shane Steichen delivered the unfortunate news that quarterback Anthony Richardson was going to be held out of Thursday’s practice, along with missing minicamp as well, due to a shoulder injury.
According to Steichen, Richardson felt pain in his throwing shoulder last week, which revealed that he had aggravated the AC joint that he had injured during his rookie season in 2023.
Steichen did not put a timeline on Richardson’s return, but hopes to have him back for training camp at some point. Surgery is not expected.
While Richardson is sidelined, Daniel Jones will now be handling the first-team quarterback reps.
