It took just one addition for the Dallas Cowboys depth chart at wide receiver to fall in line. The Cowboys had a glaring hole at WR2, which forced several players into roles that seems to be bigger than they were ready for. After the trade for George Pickens went down, the line got pushed back to where they fit best.
That works for the guys in the middle of the depth chart, and is a problem for guys at the tail end hoping to make their way. Pickens means that the top five slots are secure, and everyone else is fighting for WR6 or practice squad spots. That group includes Kelvin Harmon, one of two veterans on the 90-man roster with extensive time in the league.

Profile
Harmon entered the league in 2019 and despite not appearing in a game since his rookie season, has managed to stay connected to the NFL. He’s done stints in both the USFL and XFL before, all after things derailed due to an ACL injury the summer before his second season.
On the veteran front, Harmon is behind Parris Campbell, who signed as a free agent this past offseason. Though Campbell is more of a slot player, the way Dallas uses CeeDee Lamb and will use Pickens, different styles of receivers are fighting against the entire group. The club seemed to really like Ryan Flournoy as a rookie last year, and if former OC and current HC Brian Schottenheimer feel the same way he has the inside track on WR6 behind Lamb, Pickens, Jalen Tolbert, Kavontae Turpin and Jonathan Mingo.
That leaves Harmon fighting with Campbell, UDFA Traeshon Holden, Jalen Brooks, Jalen Moreno, and Josh Kelly.
