Former Cincinnati Bengals star defender DJ Reader has sold his downtown home.
According to the Cincinnati Business Courier, Reader’s home on Plum St. sold for just under $1 million. He had initially retained the property after signing with the Detroit Lions in 2024.

Lara Schwartz added some interesting details:
“Reader originally lived in the next-door unit at 411 Plum St., which he purchased in 2020, according to Hamilton County Auditor records. Listing agent Julia Wesselkamper with Coldwell Banker Realty said he was looking for a larger space and purchased 413 Plum St. in 2023 for $950,000.”

Reader, turning 31 years old in July, has earned roughly $67 million over the course of his NFL career to date. His departure from the Bengals was a serious sour point amongst fans and the defense has yet to recover, changing coordinators from Lou Anarumo to Al Golden this offseason.
