This week, there are mandatory minicamps for the Pittsburgh Steelers, which means the on-field debut of new starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers. After this week the team will take a little summer vacation before they reconvene for training camp in July. We figured this was the perfect time to update our
First round – QB Drew Allar – Penn State
With Rodgers only signing a one-year contract, quarterback will still be the top priority for Pittsburgh However, Rodgers should improve the Steelers just enough they will fall out of the top half of the first round and in this scenario they don’t trade up for one of the two or three best quarterbacks in the draft and instead opt for Penn State’s Drew Allar.
Second round – WR Carnell Tate – Ohio State
There are some unknowns with the Buckeyes this season but make no mistake, even though he will be the No. 2 receiver at Ohio State he’s got a bright future in the NFL.
Third round – CB Zeke Berry – Michigan
We love how Berry is able to move between safety and cornerback but he will need to establish himself as a boundary cornerback in 2025 to stick for the Steelers.
Third round – OT Riley Mahlman – Wisconsin
Mahlman isn’t the pick here because we this Broderick Jones or Troy Fautanu fail. Quite the contrary. We opted for Mahlman to give them a legitimate, quality backup with starter potential.
Fourth round – RB Kanye Udoh – Arizona State
You might not know who Udoh is now but the transfer from Army is going to make a splash when he comes in and replaces Cam Skattebo at Arizona State.
Fifth round – TE Michael Trigg – Baylor
One of our top breakout candidates for 2025 is Trigg. He’s got elite traits as a receiving tight end and looks more like an oversized wide receiver running routes.
