Should The Falcons Target Jaire Alexander? originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
The Falcons have been looking for secondary help since last season, as they had one of the least productive secondaries in the NFL in 2024. Alexander is a two-time pro bowler who’s only real issue is that he struggles to stay healthy.

Alexander has played 14 games in two seasons but has maintained production throughout the games that he has been able to play. He was a pro bowler in his last two healthy seasons and has proven time and time again that he is a top 10 cornerback in the league when he is on the field.

At the moment, the Falcons currently have Dee Alford, A.J. Terrell, Mike Hughes, and Cobee Bryant as potential Cornerback 1 and 2’s. Signing someone like Alexander, would give them a pro-bowl caliber player who is still only 28 years old.
Alexander was the 18th pick in 2018 and has played with the Packers his whole career. He had been involved in trade and waive rumors for the past two seasons, as he was struggling to stay on the field, but nothing ever came of those rumors until now.

The Falcons have depth so if they signed Alexander for a reasonable deal, it would work perfectly for them, as they will have a guy who is a star when healthy. They will also have multiple players to back him up if he did get injured or missed games for any reason.
The Falcons have a lot going for them in 2025, and signing Alexander would be ideal for a team looking to make the playoffs for the first time since 2017.
