What will Laremy Tunsil and Deebo Samuel look like in a Washington Commanders uniform? We found out on Monday, as the Commanders were in Ashburn ahead of this week’s mandatory minicamp.
The Commanders shared this video of Tunsil donning his new No. 78.
Tunsil was acquired from the Houston Texans in March for multiple draft picks in the 2025 and 2026 NFL drafts. A five-time Pro Bowler, Tunsil fills one of Washington’s biggest needs and has two years remaining on his contract.
Here’s Samuel in the burgundy and gold for the first time:
Also pictured are Zach Ertz (86) and Tress Way (10).
Samuel was acquired in March from the San Francisco 49ers for a fifth-round pick, giving quarterback Jayden Daniels a legit No. 2 wide receiver opposite Terry McLaurin.
Samuel was with Washington throughout the entire offseason program, while Tunsil skipped the voluntary OTAs. It is unclear whether Tunsil participated in Phase 1 or Phase 2 of the offseason program.
