Former NFL rushing champion and four-time Pro Bowler Arian Foster doesn’t have any roots in Milwaukee, but he spent June 9 hanging out at American Family Field, home to his professed MLB rooting interest.

Foster watched batting practice and threw out a ceremonial first pitch before the Brewers’ game against the Braves. Foster said on a podcast earlier this year that he’d never been to Milwaukee but fell in love with the Brewers’ unique ball-in-glove logo.

Foster’s day at the stadium included a trip down Bernie Brewer’s slide, meeting Jackson Chourio and apparently tailgating.

Foster played eight seasons in the NFL, mostly with the Houston Texans, though multiple years were shortened by injury. He made Pro Bowls in 2010-2012 and again in 2014, including a first-team All Pro season in 2010 when he racked up a league-best 1,616 yards. He cleared 1,200 yards in four seasons and twice led the league in rushing touchdowns.

Born in New Mexico, Foster also played high-school sports in California and attended college in Tennessee.
