Baltimore’s defense wants more takeaways in 2025, and the emphasis on forcing turnovers was evident at Tuesday’s practice.

Rookie linebacker Mike Green and second-year safety Sanoussi Kane showed impressive awareness with interceptions against backup quarterback Cooper Rush.

Green showed his athleticism by dropping into coverage and picking off a pass intended for Isaiah Likely. Rushing the quarterback is Green’s forte after leading the FBS with 17 sacks at Marshall. But in addition to rushing from the edge, the second-round pick displayed good instincts going backwards.

Kane has an opportunity to move up the depth chart after playing primarily on special teams as a rookie. The Ravens suffered an injury at safety on Monday when Beau Brade left practice early after inadvertently colliding with a defensive teammate on a deep throw down the sideline. Brade slowly walked off the field with the help of a trainer and did not practice Tuesday. The Ravens are already without safety Ar’Darius Washington, who suffered a torn Achilles earlier this offseason.

Kane, however, has been taking advantage of his reps. His leaping interception in the end zone continued his solid play during OTAs, and Kane also made a nice pass breakup of a pass intended for Likely during seven-on-seven drills.
