The Arizona Cardinals have added a new quarterback to their roster. They announced the signing of Jacoby Brissett to a two-year deal. He comes in to be the backup quarterback to Kyler Murray.
Brissett, a nine-year vet, actually holds a positive NFL record.

His career 1.4% interception percentage is the lowest in NFL history (minimum of 1,500 passing attempts).
He has thrown only one interception in the last two seasons.
This might be one of the most important metrics for a backup quarterback to have — the ability to not mess things up.
Brissett certainly is not a big playmaker, but he will be a caretaker for a team whether it is filling in to finish a game or to spot start. His record as a starter is only 19-34, but the fact that he has started 53 games over eight seasons and has five seasons with at least five starts for four different teams shows that he is a quarterback who can be trusted.
