COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – University of South Carolina players took a break from the football field to visit Prisma Children’s Hospital.
Players visited the cancer ward and the NICU to play and visit with kids who are currently on the ward.
Prisma Health officials said that visits from members of the community mean a lot to children in the hospital.
“There’s so many opportunities here in this county and you’ll be embraced by this community. If you just spend a little time these other areas creating opportunity and hope and you bring that,” Anthony Jackson, a Prisma Health official, said. “So thank you all so much for coming today and doing what you did it matters, again, not only to those kids and the staff but to me.”
