One Washington Commanders analyst is impressed with the job GM Adam Peters is doing.
Logan Paulsen, former Washington tight end (2010-14), discussed with Craig Hoffman (The Team 980) during their ‘Take Command’ podcast that they really like the depth of the Commanders’ offensive line going into the 2025 training camp.
Paulsen began, “Since I’ve been covering the team, I can’t even remember a time where they’ve had so many people (pause). We haven’t even talked about Trent Scott. Quite honestly, I think he’s had a pretty good spring. That’s four dudes right there that have played football at a high level. Think about Allegretti (Nick) and Wylie (Andrew). They have both won Super Bowls. They have both been around.”

Referring back to Nate Herbig (guard), he also mentioned how Trent Scott did a great job last year stepping in to play tackle, and then moving inside to guard when starter Sam Cosmi tore an ACL in Detroit against the Lions.
Foster Sarell (guard) is a big body (6-foot-7, 315 pounds) who came from the Chargers, and Paulsen thinks he might just make the 53-man roster.
“That’s five guys right there that I think are good football players,” expressed Paulsen. “To think back to where we were last year? It was like, we are going to have to piece-meal this together…I don’t feel that way at all about this group.”
The former veteran tight end of eight NFL seasons pointed out the obvious that Laremy Tunsil and Josh Conerly are the headlines. “But to me, the thing that makes this group different is the fact that maybe you have ten dudes who can play ball for you in a pinch.”

Then, remembering another, he said, “And we haven’t talked about Chris Paul yet.” Hoffman interjected, “I don’t know how Michael Deiter (G/C) makes the roster. And Michael Deiter has been in the NFL a long time. That’s a good thing.”
But just think: Last year, the Commanders entered the season with Cornelius Lucas and Andrew Wylie as their starting tackles, Nick Allegretti and Sam Cosmi as guards, and Tyler Biadasz at center. Conerly and Tunsil will replace them, while Brandon Coleman starts at guard.
In just one season Peters has this offensive line deeper, quite deeper.
