Still a week away from the official start of summer, temperatures are already heating up markedly in Gainesville, Florida. The Florida Gators have added three major pieces to their Class of 2026 over the last 24 hours led by verbal commitments from four-star defensive lineman JaReylan McCoy (Tupelo, MS) and four-star wide receiver Marquez Daniel (Tuskegee, AL) on Saturday.

McCoy (6-foot-6, 245 pounds) committed to Florida over LSU and Texas. He is considered a five-star prospect and the No. 9 overall player in the nation by ESPN but holds a four-star ranking in the 247Sports Composite (No. 121 overall) and is listed as a three-star player by 247Sports’ internal ranking.

Daniel (6-foot-5, 195 pounds) chose the Gators over his hometown university. He took an official visit to Florida this week after giving Auburn the same opportunity last week. Daniel’s recruiting rating is more consistent as he is a consensus four-star prospect ranked No. 178 overall in the 247Sports Composite.

Less than 24 hours ago, four-star running back Carsyn Baker (Fairburn, GA) chose Florida over Florida State, Ohio State and South Carolina. Baker (6-foot-1, 195 pounds) is ranked No. 187 overall as the 15th-best rusher in the Class of 2026, per the 247Sports Composite.

Making his pledge known Monday was three-star tight end Kekua Aumua (Bradenton, FL); the 6-foot-5, 255-pounder is originally from Hawaii but presently playing at IMG Academy. Four-star athlete Justin Williams (Gainesville, FL) and three-star offensive lineman Chancellor Campbell (St. Petersburg, FL) committed last Sunday, giving the Gators six commitments in a seven-day span.

Florida has quintupled its Class of 2026 in the first two weeks of June with 10 commitments now in tow. The Gators rank No. 28 in the 247Sports Composite team rankings, jumping approximately 40 spots this month alone.

The 27 teams ranked above UF have an average of 16.3 commitments, bolstering their class point totals. Florida presently has the 11th-ranked class based on average quality of commitment.
