Pro Football Focus recently put together their ranking of the top 32 players at each position group ahead of the 2025 NFL season. So, which players on offense for the Indianapolis Colts made these lists, and where did they land?
While the Colts have their unknowns at the quarterback position, there is a lot to like about the roster that has been put around whoever ends up under center. In fact, PFF also recently named the Colts’ skill position players as a “reason for optimism” for this team in 2025.

Here is a look at which Colts players made these rankings and where they landed among their respective position groups.
QB: Anthony Richardson (30th) – These rankings came out before minicamp, where Daniel Jones took all of the starting reps while Richardson was sidelined. The big thing with Richardson is finding more consistency in Year 3. Last season, he completed just 47% of his passes and ranked fifth in turnover-worthy play rate, according to PFF’s metrics. To remedy this, Richardson has focused heavily this offseason on his footwork, which is where accuracy begins for a quarterback.
RB: Jonathan Taylor (14th) – After finishing fourth in rushing yards last season, this ranking seems a bit low. Having Taylor healthy and playing at a high level does wonders for this offense and can be a big boost for the passing game, as he keeps this unit ahead of the sticks.
WR: Josh Downs (29th) – It doesn’t matter who is under center, Downs is a go-to option in this Colts passing game and continues to produce as one of the game’s top slot receivers. Also of note, the Colts were the only team in the NFL last season–with Michael Pittman and Alec Pierce–to have three receivers who all eclipsed 800 receiving yards.

TE: Tyler Warren (24th) – All eyes will be on Warren and the Colts’ passing game, but his impact goes well beyond just that aspect with his versatility and ability as a run-blocker. Warren’s do-it-all presence adds a level of unpredictability to this offense.
OT: Bernhard Raimann (10th) – After a breakout season in 2023, Raimann built upon that performance in 2024, ranking among the best at the tackle position in both the run and passing games by PFF’s metrics.
OT: Braden Smith (21st) – Smith has provided the Colts with a steady presence up front. During the 2023 and 2024 seasons, which have included 760 pass-blocking snaps, Smith has surrendered just four total sacks and four combined quarterback hits. He’s also routinely graded out as one of the better run-blockers at the tackle position based on PFF’s metrics.
C: Tanor Bortolini (30th) – Still a relatively inexperienced player, there are unknowns around Bortolini. However, when he got his opportunities as a rookie, he very much held his own. Among all centers, Bortolini ranked 15th in PFF’s pass-blocking efficiency metric and was 22nd out of 40 centers in run-blocking grade.

G: Quentin Nelson (4th) – Nelson ranked 15th among all guards in pass-blocking efficiency, and he was fourth in run-blocking grade. According to PFF’s tracking data, Jonathan Taylor averaged 4.8 yards per rush when running to Nelson’s direct left and 5.3 yards per rush when running to his direct right.
