New England Patriots rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson can flat out fly.
He has proven throughout the spring practices that he moves at a different speed than most players. His speed and elusiveness on the ground made him one of the biggest home run threats on the 2025 NFL draft board. The Patriots are hopeful that his big-play ability can help spark the struggling offense this season.
More importantly, they hope it could take some of the pressure off second-year quarterback Drake Maye.
Henderson is known for his versatility as a solid runner, receiver and great pass-blocker. Being a triple-threat player in the offensive backfield made him one of the best running backs in the country last year and a potential steal for the Patriots.
The running back room in New England got significantly better with Henderson’s arrival. He has come in and made an immediate impact. His explosive playmaking abilities will add an element to the offense we haven’t seen in years.
The former Ohio State standout has all of the makings of a solid contributor in the NFL in short order.
