The New York Giants have struggled along the offensive line for what feels like an eternity. There have been countless names over the past decade that have been added either through the draft or in free agency to bolster the success of the unit. However, time after time it has not worked out for the Giants and their last several general managers.
As the Giants enter each offseason, the offensive line seems to be a big need for them. And that’s why nearly a year ahead of the 2026 NFL draft, Pro Football Network has the Giants adding an offensive tackle in a way-too-early three-round mock draft.
5) New York Giants
Kadyn Proctor, OT, Alabama
With the Giants securing their quarterback of the future in last year’s draft with the selection of Jaxon Dart, now it’s time to build around him.
The Evan Neal experiment was a failure, but that shouldn’t keep the Giants from dipping their toes back in the Alabama well. Proctor possesses rare physical attributes, offering exceptional size, length, and athleticism. He projects as a plug-and-play tackle for the G-Men.

In this scenario, the Giants would have the fifth overall pick; another top-10 selection that the team has become all too familiar with.
The Giants’ offensive line was not just functional but played well early last season before Andrew Thomas suffered an injury. Thomas has been injury-prone the last few seasons, while Evan Neal and John Michael Schmitz have been disappointing so far. Meanwhile, additions from last offseason, Jon Runyan Jr., Greg Van Roten, and Jermaine Eluemunor will be entering their second season with the team.
In Round 2, PFN has the Giants selecting Ohio State tight end Max Klare. It would be the fourth time in the past five drafts the Giants used a pick on a tight end.
