Toia comes from a deeply athletic family lineage — his older brother Siaki Ika won a national championship at LSU and was a two-time All-Big 12 selection at Baylor before being chosen in the 2023 NFL Draft. He has another brother, Jay Toia, who played Big 10 football for UCLA before being drafted in the 2025 NFL Draft. A third brother, Soane Toia, also recently finished his eligibility San Jose State.
247Sports’ recruiting analyst Greg Biggins labeled him as the “most promising” defensive line prospect from California since Michigan star Mason Graham, and made a player comparison to his older brother Jay.

“He plays a lot of edge, most likely to avoid constant double teams but he’s a tremendous interior line presence who can win with power and quickness. He combines a quick first step, strong hands and a consisted motor,” Biggins wrote.
“He’s a relentless player with a nice edge in his game and can manhandle opposing linemen at the high school level. He has an NFL ceiling if he reaches his potential and he’s talented enough to play for any school in the country.”
Toia also holds offers from some of the top programs in college football, including Michigan, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, and USC. In total, he holds 24 FBS offers.
