The Kansas City Chiefs posted a 15-2 record and made it to the Super Bowl last year, which is a great accomplishment, but it is even more impressive when we consider that they did it without their No. 1 receiver, Rashee Rice.

Rice played just four games last season before a knee injury against the Los Angeles Chargers ruled him out for the year, which meant others had to step up in his absence.

Xavier Worthy, Travis Kelce, DeAndre Hopkins and Noah Gray all did their bit for the offense in trying to cover for the loss of Rice.

Now, Rashee appears to be back on the right track, and if we are being honest, looks to be doing all the right things as he gets ready to attack the offseason.

In a video going viral, we saw Rice go through various receiver drills, showcasing his route-running ability with his knee looking good as his offseason workouts continue.

So Rice does appear to be moving well during his workouts, but as we have so often seen, players coming back from significant knee injuries often aren’t the same player they were prior to the injury.

Sometimes it takes a full year to get back up to speed, and for the Chiefs, with Juju Smith-Schuster, Marquise Brown, Worthy, Kelce, and Jalen Royals, some players can take the pressure off Rice’s shoulders to come in and be the No. 1 guy from the get-go.

Yes, it is a great step and sign to see Rice doing what he’s doing this offseason, but we expect the Chiefs to play the cautious game with their star receiver as he works back to being the dominant force he once was.
