The Chargers present one of the more talented rosters in the NFL. A handful of those players are on great deals, too.
With that being said, here is a look at three of the best bargain contracts, not including rookie deals, that the Bolts have on the roster for the upcoming season.
OL Mekhi Becton
Cap hit: $7.32 million
The Chargers had issues with the interior part of their offensive line this past season, and one way to address it was by signing Becton, who is coming off his best season as a professional after transitioning to guard with the Eagles. His hulking presence will be a significant upgrade at right guard. Becton’s cap hit is $7.32 million in 2025, which will increase to $12.5 million in 2026. There is no guaranteed salary in 2026, which could offer potential cap savings for Los Angeles.
RB Najee Harris
Cap hit: $5.25 million
The Chargers revamped the running back room with the draft selection of Omarion Hampton and the signing of Harris, which ended up being an excellent deal for a player who has not missed a single game in his professional career. Harris has been productive throughout his four NFL seasons, rushing for over 1,000 yards each year. Additionally, his physical running style is a great fit for Greg Roman’s offense. Harris and Hampton could end up being one of the better running back duos in the league.
S Elijah Molden
Cap hit: $3.66 million
After joining the Chargers via trade with the Titans, Molden quickly became an integral part of Jesse Minter’s defense. Molden’s presence in the deep parts of the field allowed Derwin James to play closer to the line of scrimmage, where he’s proven to be at his best. Molden set career highs in tackles (75), passes defended (7), and interceptions (3). As a result, he was rewarded with a three-year contract extension. With Molden back in the mix, the back end of the defense is in great shape.
